Cinco De Mayo Girls’ Night!

Who doesn’t love Cinco De Mayo?! My blogger girlfriends and I had a blast cooking up recipes in my kitchen while sipping on refreshing mango jalapeño

Tropical Margaritas

Tropical margaritas are one of the most refreshing beverages out there. They are sometimes known as frozen cocktails. Anyone who has a quench for margarita should try this out. It has a soothing and refreshing taste of margarita and fruit smoothie. In short, tropical margaritas are fruit smoothies with tequila added to them.

If you are hosting a happy hour with friends and family or celebrating Cinco de Mayo, this drink will be the talking topic of the night. After all, who doesn’t like a good, fruity, frozen cocktail?

Making of the margarita

As the necessary tool, you should have a good blender. This is a must step you have to follow to make a tropical margarita. We asked for a good margarita because we need to avoid having a big lump of ice in our drink. This blender of yours should mix and blend the ice well.

The next important part is the tequila. Make sure to have it with a sufficient amount. There are fruits you must have made that will be discussed below in the recipe. If you have it, try to use a margarita glass. This glass is blown and the perfect holder for the drink.

Ingredients

• 4 1/2 ounces of Tequilla
• 2 ounces of Triple sec
• 2 ounces of Margarita mix
• An ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice
• 2 peeled and chopped ripe mangoes
• 1/2 a cup of frozen pineapple chunks
• 1 peeled and chopped kiwi
• 3 cups of ice
• Lime wedges
• Superfine sugar

The recipe

The first thing is to make the margarita is blending the ingredients. Leave out the lime and sugar and put the rest in the blender. The blender should be blending the ingredients quite well for this to turn out well. Let it blend until you see a smooth mixture.

Place the superfine sugar in a low flat bowl. We are going to assume you have the margarite glass that is blown so, run the lime wedge around the rims of the glass. After you did that, dip the glass head only into the low flat bowl containing the sugar. If you want you can substitute the sugar with salt.

The last and final step is pouring the smooth mixture into the glass. The rest is serving your friends or your family. If you invited children, there is a way you can make them this margarita as well. Switch the tequila and the triple sec with orange juice, and the kids can finally enjoy alcohol-free margaritas.

Substitutions

If you don’t have certain ingredients, you can substitute them as follows. If you don’t have margarita mix, use sweet and sour mix. This might even be preference-wise. Since kiwis are not tropical fruits, you can leave them out if you like. We added them since they add a beautiful serving with all the black dots appearing in your drink.

This is the easiest recipe when it comes to a margarita and if you know your way around the traditional margarita, you won’t face any difficulties.
